It's easy to learn to operate and view and it costs less than 150.00. I have used the humming bird Piranah Max 215 or Eagle Fish Easy 245 are good for a cheap unit, are available in portable or fixed, and can be run of AA batteries, or marine batteries. Both offer surface temperature readings, and dual sonar with about 15 ft of coverage on the bottom of the lake. A good option for a casual fisherman. With fishfinders you do get what you pay for.
