What Battery Do I Need For A 1975 Shakespeare Scanmaster Df-1 Fish Finder?

My step dad gave me this fish finder. It is in really good condition but has no instructions. If anyone may know anything about this fish finder that would be great! Thanks

my guess would be those square 6 volts with the two springs on top if it’s a portable unit. otherwise, hook it up to the 12 volt system on your boat. you should find a couple wires that look like they need to go somewhere.

Most all fishfinders and graphs work on a 12 volt system. If you are not hooking up any other eletronics your best bet for portability and weight would be a 12 motorcycle battery.
