Wanting To Buy My Husband A Good Fly Fishing Rod For His Birthday.?

I know nothing about fly fishing or rods. My husbands rod broke last summer and I would like to buy him a new one for his birthday and keep it a surprise, but I don’t know what kinds to look at or what specifications or what price is too much.

    Hi Joyce,

    Thank you for “following” Leland Fly Fishing Outfitters on Twitter. There are LOTS of fly rod options. My first question is, what would you be replacing (sorry to hear he broke the last one) for your husband’s previous rod? Does he fish for Trout, Bass, or Saltwater fish? Do you know the size (line weight and length) of his broken rod? I know, questions, questions…
