If I were you, I would head up to Bishop, California and fly fish in the Bishop Creek. Its a beautiful place to visit. You can also fish the Kern River which is just south of town. If you fish at the river, I would use Power Bait…they really seem to like that. The Bishop creek also has lots of areas where the fish congregate. You could also go 12 miles up 395 to what they call “Intake 2″. Its a nice lake where they seem to catch alot of fish.
There are lots of motels and campgrounds around the area!! Plus Bishop has a really neat restaurant called “Whiskey Creek” and they supposedly have really good food from what several of my extended family members have told me.
    Have fun!!!!!!!!!!
