Im a novice at fishing. I need to know if this is a good begginer fish finder? I dont want to spend alot on a finder untill i know if im going to make this a hobby of mine. I can get a new one for about $70.00.

ok. I am in the market for a new fish finder..What I want is one with easy to operate and one that will show the jig falling and show the fish coming up off the bottom or what ever..I fish deep lakes for lake trout-salmon or browns…thanks for your advice..

We’ve got a Hummin’bird and it does it’s job, howwwever if finances were available I go with a Lowrance. In my opinion only, they be 1 of the best. Link is for Lowrance Corp., itself. I have a hummingbird bottomline fish finder tournament addition 1101, I know it is old school but It came with the boat I just bought. Does anyone know a site, or could even tell me how to read the markings on the screen. Thanks

All other features on my unit work except the bottom reading which shows the bottom structure in gray or black. I took it apart and went through every detail, but could not locate the problem. Anyone with the same problem or fix? Pretty expensive for a compatible unit $249.99. Please help.
