i love to fish but know nothing about it and i am wanting to buy a fish finder for a christmas gift for someone but i am not wanting to spend $1000. what is a well known fish finder thats for a reasonable price?

What Is The Best And Cheapest Portable Ice Fishing Fish Finder Around To Buy?

The best and least expensive flasher would be the Vexilar FL-8, (around $300).
PS: And don’t let anyone fool you into buying a liquid crystal unit for Ice fishing. I purchased a cheap portable Hummingbird unit for my canoe thinking it would do double duty as an ice fishing sonar.
